The mission of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is to reveal stories about freedom's heroes, from the era of the Underground Railroad to contemporary times, challenging and inspiring everyone to take courageous steps for freedom today. A variety of resources can be accessed through this site, including the online exhibit of Frederick Douglass's documents and a variety of lesson plans and teacher resources.
